The Year of the Dark
Wesak has concluded with another
successful start to the spiritual year. This year is the
Year of the Dark; that is, the main spiritual lesson for
this spiritual year, and for the ongoing evolution of this
planet, is the ability to face the Dark, or the Void,
without reacting from fear. It is in many ways
understandable that our instinct when facing the Dark is
one of fear. Within the Dark, or the Void, there is
no light, no form, no shape, nothing that reflects back to
us. We often do not realise how much we depend on
the world reflecting back to us for our sense of self, as
well as our sense of what is happening in the world.
Without this reflection from outside ourselves we are
forced towards our own centre. If that is not there,
if we do not have a strong sense of our own self, a strong
connection to our own centre or the resonance that is our
true essence, then we will become lost in the formlessness
of the void. Without a strong sense of our own self,
when all that is reflected back to us is nothing, we can
very easily become nothing ourselves. And it is that
fear which we take into the void.
Did you ever watch the original Star Wars
trilogy? In the second one, while Luke is undergoing
his training as a Jedi, Yoda takes him to a place within
his forest that is strong in the dark side of the force.
It is an eerie place, dominated by a large, dark tree.
It is under this tree that Luke has to go. Just
before he enters he turns back towards Yoda and asks,
"What's in there?" and Yoda replies, "Only what you
take with you." When Luke entered he saw Darth Vader
(he did not yet know Darth Vader was his father) and
killed him. What he had taken with him was his fear,
and that is what he manifested.
This immediate manifestation of our fear
is what we achieve without a strong sense of self, or
confidence or certainty. Without certainty, the
formlessness of the Void or the Dark triggers our fears,
and then that is what we manifest.
Form is essential to our sense of control
in the world. As soon as energy or consciousness
takes form it is immediately limited to some degree, and
we have some awareness of what we can expect from it.
We seek form in many different ways, including putting
people into different boxes. This is one way we seek
to have some sense of control or predictability in our
world. In the Dark there is no form, so we do not
have this first level of control. The only control
we have is what exists within us already.
That is both the gift and the terror of
the dark. The only certainty we have within it is
that which exists within ourselves. This is what we
are being challenged to learn in this spiritual year; to
find our own internal certainty to give us a centre even
with the Void of the Dark.
I wish you all the greatest joy and many
blessings in your continued journey,
Dr Catherine Wilkins, Director,
Fractology.

Crystals of Mastery
One of the most interesting
parts of creating crystal networks and doing
environmental clearing and enhancing work for
people is when I get to work with Master Crystals.
What is a Master Crystal?
Strangely, it is exactly what it says - a crystal
that has achieved mastery of its own
consciousness.
Here at Fractology we recognise
not only that everything is conscious, we soon
learn to work with that consciousness. This
has tremendous benefits in enabling our work to be
easier and more effective, with a wider and more
stable effect. Whatever we are working on is
involved in the work, from its integrity, and
crystals are no different.
When we work with other
consciousnesses, we soon learn that some of them,
like us, are less aware while some of them are
more aware. Those that are less aware we
work with by first carefully checking their
integrity or fractal pattern to ensure the work we
are getting them to do is one that will truly
serve them and their spirit. Then we know
they will enjoy the process and so not only not
resist the work, but actively support it.
However, it is in working with
those that are more aware that we are concerned
here. Master Crystals are 'awake' in a way
that other crystals are not. Their mastery
comes from the same source as the mastery of the
Master Tree we met during the Wesak retreat, they
know who They Truly Are and do what they can to
live in their integrity. Working with Master
Crystals is a pure joy because it is just like
having a partner to work with.
A Master Crystal will support
and work a crystal network in much the same way
that we ourselves would. They are, of
course, doing this as an expression of their own
integrity so, as always, it is important to be
able to find a Master Crystal whose integrity is
in alignment with what you want to achieve.
Recognising Master Crystals is
similar to recognising mastery in any form - there
is a presence which is self-aware and which can
communicate its intentions clearly. Having a
Master Crystal assisting us with our own space and
work enables the holding of that space and the
creation of the energy for that work to be that
much easier.

FRACTOLOGY and ABUNDANCE
It's a curious word, abundance. What does it
mean?
The word abundance has the same root meaning as
'abound', which is from the Latin abundare,
meaning 'to overflow'. As with all words, when
we understand their true meaning they give us great
insights.
For us to experience abundance we simply have to
'overflow'. It is easy while having a physical
incarnation to view this in strictly physical terms
but of course this is not just physical. It
has a deeper meaning.
When we are able to overflow with the energy of
something, it will inevitably 'overflow' into the
physical. Of course, it can also work from the
physical to the metaphysical.
This is what is meant in the Bible when it says, 'to
him who has not, even more shall be taken away; and
to him who has, even more shall be added'.
What we are overflowing with is our abundance, even
if all we have is an abundance of nothing.

| THE RIVER OF DREAMS The
river of dreams; even Billy Joel mentioned it in one
of his songs. A frequent motif in dreams is
often the crossing or not crossing of a river.
Rivers have been appearing in my clients dreams on
and off for a long time, but have become
particularly prominent lately. This is perhaps
because of the current energy within the world.
When we are faced with the coming Dark we often have
decisions to make that will lead us to the river of
dreams.
So what does a river in our dreams mean?
It represents the different phases of our lives.
On this side of the river is the phase we are
currently moving through, on the other side of the
river is a new phase. Whether we cross over or
not in the dream is a symbol of whether or not we
have moved into the new phase or not.
Sometimes the manner of our crossing can also
give us an indication of how we are travelling.
I remember one dream I had some years back. I
did manage to cross the river, and there was a
bridge. But did I take the easy path across
the bridge? No.
Not only did I not walk simply across the bridge,
but rather across the wire and steel-beam
construction under the bridge, up one side of the
arch and down the other, but I did it in high heels,
balancing on the wire that covered the beams. Which
was a rather precarious way to do it. So I
crossed over to the new phase of my life, but it
clearly had me feeling like my balance was fragile
there for a while.
So how are your river crossings going?

Wesak 2008 -
report
Thank you once again to all the wonderful people who
made this year's Wesak such a success. Thanks
to all the participants who brought their energy and
presence to this wonderful journey we are on, and a
special thanks goes to Indiana James, resident
sculptor at Bay of Shoals Winery, and Linda Jenkins,
the Hatperson, who were so generous with their time
and in showing us around their working spaces and
explaining to us their current works. Being
given an insight into how truly creative people work
with the world around us is a privilege. I
hope those who bought hats will show them off with
pride! Thanks also goes to the people of Hogs
Bay Apiary who showed us around their hives,
enabling people to see the bees, and their queen, at
work, such an essential key in the cycle of life.
An extra special thanks goes to Elizabeth Shearman,
who has extraordinary skill with the Tarot
cards - even though she will say it is not her, it
is the cards. Which is perhaps why she is so
good with them. We all enjoyed our readings
and I know everyone is looking forward to watching
them unfold over the next two or so years.
With all of this you may be wondering if we did any
work at all!
Which of course we did. This Wesak was a
little different in that the 'out there' work did
not truly begin until Sunday morning. This
gave us time to enjoy some of the wonderful sights
of Kangaroo Island on the Saturday, including
visiting Indiana and Linda, and doing some
preliminary work. We were able to spend some
time practising coming into resonance with the world
around us. For this we went up to Kingscote.
This is in the area of one of the earliest sites of
the colony in South Australia. It was only
after the failure of this site that the colony was
moved to Glenelg, on the coast near where Adelaide
came to be. As a consequence in Kingscote
there is the most amazing old mulberry tree.
Most trees enjoy having a form of collective
awareness that they share with the other trees of
their own species in their area. This is one
of the reasons why trees do so much better when they
are planted in stands, rather than as single trees.
When the colonists arrived they planted many
European trees, most of which died when the
colonists left. One single mulberry tree
remained. It was far from its own kind and
remained that way for a hundred and fifty odd years
until fairly recently when a cutting was taken from
it. As a consequence this tree has become a
Master Tree, with a profound awareness of itself
unlike any other tree I have ever met. It has
a deep resonance, and a deep well of insight.
It was here that we practised our resonance, and the
strength of this tree's resonance made the practise
a pleasure.
On Sunday we spent the day journeying. We did
four major journeys to Shambhala on this day, which
was a major effort on everyone's part.
However, we were greatly supported by the energy of
the island. Most of the participants had
marked the sudden shift in energies as they were
about half way on the crossing over to the island.
It is at this point that the visitor to the island
moves through the vortex which surrounds and
protects the island. Those who were most used
to working energetically were immediately aware of
its effects, and how much easier it was to perceive
things as the vortex protected us all from the
scattered energies from the collective consciousness
and the rest of the world. On Kangaroo Island,
because of the powerful protection of this vortex,
it is that much easier to feel your own feelings,
think your own thoughts, and work with your own
energies without interference. It is a
wonderful place to rest and recuperate, even if we
were mostly working!
On Monday we continued our spiritual journey, and
made a physical one. First, we stopped to
visit the wonderful Hog Bay Apiary and were given a
special tour of the place. Kangaroo Island is
the bee capital of the world; it is a bee sanctuary
and has some of the purest hives of the Ligurian bee
in the world. These are 'domesticated' bees in
that they have been bred for their relative docility
for thousands of years. So we were able to
view the hives closely and get to see the queen at
work. After that we went for a walk up to the
headland above Penneshaw on Ironstone Hill.
This is a place where many of the energy lines of
the island come together and the place has been
enhanced, coincidentally perhaps, by an old
threshing circle.
Threshing, where the wheat is broken down and the
grain removed, has always been a process dedicated
to the Dark Goddess, for it is in this process that
the wheat truly dies, in order to be able to be born
again the following year. The circle here on
the headland is relatively intact, with the flat,
circular floor and the circle of slate marking it.
The energies of the sight here create a remarkable
place to work from, where we were still insulated
from the collective consciousness, and yet had a
window into it through which we could work. So
on this site we did another journey to Shambhala.
After which we had potato and leek soup and returned
down the hill, to go view the Fairy Penguins.
We had seen many of the wonderful Tamar Wallabies on
our way up the hill.
Tuesday saw us once again on the road after our
morning journeying. This time we headed
further south to the Kelly Hill Caves. These
are a network of caves that run under a large
portion of the island. They are differently
formed to many limestone caves as they are not due
to a river working its way down through the hill,
but by rainwater collecting in sinkholes and
undercutting what was once old sand-dunes. The
formations are still beautiful and a crawl through
dark places with only a light on our helmets to
guide us seemed an appropriate activity for the year
of the Dark. We were all taken on an Adventure
Caving trip, where at one point the tour guide got
us to turn off our helmet lights so we could sit in
the absolute dark. This is a space where our
eyes would never adjust because there simply is no
light for our eyes to adjust to. We sat in the
formlessness of the dark, and allowed our bodies to
learn the experience of the Void. For many, it
was perhaps this experience that enabled us to take
the last step into certainty while within the Dark,
rather than responding to it with fear.
That night, we cemented the experience through
ritual, which enabled our bodies to be able to
further catch up to where our spirits had grown to.
This ritual culminated in a fire and hot chocolate
on the beach, under the many brilliant stars that
can be seen in the night skies of Kangaroo Island.
Wednesday was our last journey to Shambhala to be
present at closing ceremonies. it was during
this morning that many of us were able to make a
deeper connection to ourselves, as we realised how
death and the dark held one important thing in
common; we had no form with which to know ourselves
in either of these states.
With most of us, when we are asked who we are, we
give answers that relate to our human existence; our
name, or our family, or our job perhaps, or a list
of our accomplishments or relationships, or perhaps
a description of our bodies. Yet all of these
things belong to this life, this form only.
Who You Truly Are exists beyond and without all of
that. Take away all form, and who are we?
This is the experience we have when we step into the
Dark. With all form stripped from us, and all
ability to reference ourselves from the outside
removed, we are thrown completely back onto our own
internal knowingness. Perhaps this is the true
reason why many of us react to the Dark or the Void
with fear.
And it is a good question; if I cannot use any form,
how can I know who I am?
It was on this final morning that many of us
realised it was our resonance. In the Void, in
the Dark, in Death, that is all that remains to us;
the deep resonance of our soul which can be found
deep within the Soul Seat. We took this
knowledge into our last journey and completed our
new level of understanding.
As the ferry was not due to go back to the mainland
until that evening, we had a few hours in which to
relax. Elizabeth Shearman, who is a resident
of Kangaroo Island, and who reads the tarot cards
extremely accurately, was kind enough to come and
give us all a reading. As we were all in a
very clear space after our few days of work it
enabled the readings to be very clear and I believe
we all received some useful information.
Bringing ourselves full circle back into the world,
we then decided to retire to the pub for a couple of
drinks before we got on the ferry and returned back
to the mainland and the collective consciousness.
So, we had a lot of fun, ate some excellent food,
saw some of the sights of Kangaroo Island, and met
some of the wonderful and eccentric people who have
moved there to escape from the wider world, and
achieved some good things for our own consciousness
and the collective consciousness. It was a
very successful retreat and once again I'd like to
thank everyone involved.

STUDENT CLINIC DAYS -
NEW IN 2008
As part of our ongoing commitment to assist new
Fractology Practitioners to complete their studies
and begin to create their own practices we are
starting up student clinic days. Initially,
this will be a trial and we will be doing them on
the second Saturday of each month.
During this day members of the public can be treated
by Fractology students for the minimal cost of $20,
which will go to cover rental costs. The
clinic day will be held at 129 Booth Street,
Annandale, NSW, 2038. Our intention is that
this will enable students to find and work on a
greater number of case studies, while enabling
increased numbers of people to experience
Fractology.
If you would like to be a part of this, as either a
student or to receive a student session, please
contact us at
info@fractology.info
I
would also like to take this opportunity to
encourage you all to keep working on your training.
The Fractology Practitioner training is a
life-changing development course that is undertaken
in your own time. In the most direct way, it
gives us a system to express our commitment to
ourselves, and to learn to live life as who We Truly
Are.

Cosmic Sex,
Aesthetics and Energy
What do sex and aesthetics have in common? And
what has that to do with the workings of energy?
More than most of us would guess.
All creative energy, whether it is used for sex or
aesthetics or the creation of any form, is a result
of two polarities or dualities coming together.
Sometimes we call these dualities yin and yang,
sometimes light and dark, sometimes positive and
negative, or sometimes the two poles may simply be
complementary colours, but whatever two poles we are
using they are brought together, and to a point of
balance, that creates a dynamic tension. When
we bring them together the art, and creativity, lies
in enabling them to hold to their integrity.
The symbol for yin and yang is a dark area and a
light area, it is not one large grey area.
Without each pole holding to its integrity the
creative tension between the two of them will be
lost and the energy or manifestation we can draw
from them will also be lost.
When both poles maintain their integrity, and yet
still draw close to each other, they reach a point
of such exquisite tension that a resolution is
demanded. We are familiar with what this
resolution is within sex, whether that is physical
or cosmic (that is, metaphysical or sex that is
purely an energy exchange). Yet all art and
creativity has the same principle behind it.
It is this exquisite tension that demands resolution
that we find in art. When we listen to great
music, or view awe-inspiring art, or run our hands
over wonderful sculpture it engenders within us that
same tension which demands a resolution.
Because the art is fixed in place, holding its
tension within itself, the resolution must come from
within us. So we arrive at new ideas or new
thoughts or new views on the world through the
creative tension that aesthetics hold for us.
In working creatively it is no different. By
working with the poles of the Universe, light and
dark, or Light and the Void, and bringing them into
that point of creative balance, and being able to
hold that, balanced, within ourselves not only do we
experience the energy of that, but the resolution
that the energy demands will greatly enhance our
ability to manifest.

Dark versus Light
- Form, Formlessness
and Growth
This is the duality that many people believe is
fundamental to existence, and while it is true they
are a polar set, it is not because one is good and
the other evil. Both are necessary for the
third principle of creation, manifestation, to
occur. It is only when we approach the Dark
from a space of fear that that is what we manifest,
and then we name it evil, perhaps in an effort to
disown our own fears.
We've all done it. Whether we did it when we
were small, and were afraid of the dark of night, or
perhaps we did it when we were older and we were
afraid of the dark of the unknown in our
increasingly unpredictable lives. We've all
bought into our fears.
Walking into, or confronting the Dark, the Void or
the Unknown, shows us our fears because it is in
such moments that we are thrown back onto our own
internal sense of certainty, or fear. If we do
not have a strong sense of certainty within us then
we will react from fear, not knowing how else to
respond. This effect is heightened when we
confront the Void or the Dark.
Whether we do it consciously or not, we all attempt
to create a degree of control in our lives through
form. Once something has taken a form, no
matter what it is, it becomes, at least to some
degree, limited and predictable. For example,
we can safely predict that the video monitor on
which you are reading this is not likely to suddenly
begin to melt and run across the table in some
Salvador Dali impression. We can also predict
that, with proper wiring in the building, we can
safely touch the walls without being electrocuted.
We know we can walk on rock without sinking into it,
and we know we can sink into water to cleanse
ourselves. Without the predictability of form
our lives would become uncertain to the point of
unmanageability. Even if we have never
consciously acknowledged that within ourselves we
know it to be true. And it is light that gives
this to us.
It
is light that gives us form, and whatever control
and therefore sense of safety or security, that
comes with it. This is one of the greatest
reasons why we perceive Light as 'good' or 'safe' or
'positive' or 'nurturing'. Certainly, just as
we do when we are small and are developing, having
boundaries enables us to find our feet. They
are necessary if we are to achieve our potential.
Paradoxically, the first step in development is to
know our limitations. Light gives this to us,
by giving the world form, and so defining it for us.
But as we grow we reach a point of development, of
maturity, when we no longer need the external
control of form or boundaries. We still use
them as a useful structure with which to assess the
world, but when we reach a certain point growth can
only come by breaking through those boundaries.
At this point in our growth we need to release our
boundaries, move beyond our need to rely on form to
give ourselves definition and a sense of our own
uniqueness. At this point we need to find the
definition within us.
This is what being in the Dark, stepping into the
Void, can do for us. When we are within the
Dark there is no form, no external definition or
experience for us to give us a sense of ourselves.
All we have is what is within us. When we are
within the Dark we learn the true state of our self
awareness.
The terror of the Dark is no more, and no less, that
the fear we have of our own Shadow. When we
are aware of who We Truly Are the Dark, the Void,
holds no terrors for us, because all we experience
within the Dark is what is within us, so the Dark
brings us simply an intimate experience of
ourselves. When we are ready for this, when
this is what we need for the next state of our
growth, the Dark, the Void, only holds insight, and
blessings, for us and our path in life.

KorTar Korner
Here, at Fractology, we have been
privileged to gain the benefits of this remarkable
new-old technology. This is something we believe
everyone would benefit from using. So we have
decided to include this section in our regular
newsletter to help familiarise you with some of the
great benefits and new ideas that are coming out
around this new technology.
What is a KorTar transducer?
A KorTar transducer set is a
much more sophisticated tool than any others I have
come across in my many years of energetic and
spiritual work. This is, in many ways, its
biggest drawback; it takes a heightened level of
awareness to be able to use them to their full
capacity. For this reason I thought it might
be beneficial to dedicate the next few editions of
KorTar Korner to this amazing new tool.
The transducer set comes in a
set of three. Unlike the KorTar KrysTals it is
designed to be used as a set, and not individually.
This is what gives it its great power.
The first element of the set is
able to direct the Dark void which is the first
principle of creation. The second element is
able to direct the Light energy which is the second
principle, while the third element directs and holds
the intention to manifestation which is the third
principle. Between the three of them they have
the ability to greatly enhance any energetic or
spiritual work we may attempt.
They are extremely powerful so
I would recommend either seeking some professional
training in using them, or practising with them in
private before using them within your own practice.
These are tools designed for professionals, not for
the casual user.
How do
they work?
A
transducer is able to transfer energy from one
system, level or dimension into another. As we
mentioned in a previous edition of KorTar Korner,
there are two ways to use the KorTar transducer;
field transducer therapy, and laser transducer
therapy. Today we are going to focus on field
transducer therapy.
This
is, perhaps, the easier way to use them as using
them this way they can be set up for a specific
purpose within a set space and then left alone.
While they remain in place they will continue to do
their work.
How
do we set up the field?
As
with all things metaphysical, it is an art as much
as a science and you will need to decide what is the
most effective method for your intentions to be held
within the field. The way we most commonly use
is outlined below, but as always, please work
according to your own integrity which, at times,
will undoubtedly suggest other methods.
First, decide what you would like to be the pivotal
point of the field. Is it a field you would
like to energise things within? Then the
pivotal point is the quartz transducer. Is it
a field you would like to create peace, stillness
and expansion within? Then the pivotal point
is the obsidian transducer. Or is it a field
in which you would like to enhance your ability to
manifest? Then the pivotal point is the honey
calcite transducer.
To
set up a field you'll need, in addition to your
transducer set, at least two Radiance KorTar
Configurations. Set up the base pair (the
other two transducers - not the pivotal transducer)
by angling them so that the beams they send out of
their points cross where you would like the field to
be. I would suggest that you have them angled
so they cross a couple of metres above the ground,
rather than close or within the ground, as this
seems to magnify the effect. Ensure that each
of the base transducers are within the centre of one
of the Radiance KorTar Configurations. This
changes the nature of the beam from a narrow,
laser-type of beam to a much wider beam capable of
creating a field. It is also useful because
the configuration can assist to hold the transducer
at the correct angle.
When
you have your base pair in place, position your
pivotal transducer so that its beam crosses at the
same point the other two cross. You may need
to attune it very carefully but when it is in
exactly the right position you will feel the field
'lock' as all of the beams become coherent with each
other. At that point the field is stable and
can begin its work.
I
prefer to use the pivotal transducer without a
Radiance KorTar Configuration where possible, as
this concentrates the energy into the pivotal member
of the set. Using only two Radiance KorTar
Configurations with the base pair is enough to
produce a field about the size of an average unit,
perhaps slightly smaller than the average house.
However, if you need to create a very large space
you can use a third Radiance KorTar Configuration
around the pivotal transducer. This creates a
very large field, though the concentration of energy
into the pivotal transducer seems to be lost to a
great degree.
What are some ways I can
use it?
I have one such field set up at my home. I
work from home in a number of capacities: I teach
students long distance via email, internet and the
phone; I do distance healing work, also over the
phone; and I see the occasional client in my rooms
at home; in addition I pursue several interests of
my own, including creative writing. This
diverse work is stimulating but it can also scatter
the energy. By having this field set up within
the space it makes it easier to keep the energy
focused. I would advise, however, that if the
field includes your bedroom it may be too
stimulating for you to sleep easily. Unless
there is something I wish to work on overnight (on
other levels) I do not have the field overlapping my
bedroom.
Another way this can be used is to assist the work
of clients. By setting the field up in an
enhancing way for the clients their work can be
greatly facilitated. I recently set up a
number of these sets for a client in their
production spaces. Their turnover increased
significantly once the sets were installed, and has
not diminished since. As many of our clients
are not as skillful with setting the energy of their
spaces as we are, these transducers give us a
wonderful, stable way that we can assist them with
that.
