Epicycles or The Truth is Always Simple

The truth is simple.

Fractals can appear complex but they’re built from simple patterns and simple rules repeated many times.

Just like a fractal.

A fractal can appear complex but is always simple underneath. That’s what gives them their elegance, as well as universal application.

You’ve experience this yourself many times. Whenever you learned something new it seemed complex and confusing, but as soon as you ‘got it’ it was suddenly simple. Just how well you can hold on through the confusion, until you get to the simplicity, has a lot to do with how much you learn in life.

Confusion is mental pain. Just as with physical pain, our mental pain can be either good or bad. If you’ve ever been to a yoga class, or pushed yourself in a workout, you’ll know what I mean.

Good physical pain is that achy stretch pain that means your body’s working beyond its usual capacity – but bad pain is hot or sharp pain. It’s important to tell the difference between good and bad pain because good pain means keep going but bad pain means stop before you do damage.

If you think all pain is bad pain you’ll never get fit because you’ll avoid it – you’ll stop if you feel any type of pain. That’s true if we’re talking about physical or mental pain. The more you’re able to tell good confusion (new truths) from bad confusion (lies) the more you’ll understand and be able to learn and grow.

This is where simplicity helps.

The truer something is the more simple it’s going to be. True things line up with universal reality, which lies don’t do. It’s explaining away the misalignments which make lies so complicated.

This has always been true, as epicycles demonstrate.

Epicycles were how they explained away the misalignments in our solar system created by insisting the sun, and all other planets, orbited round the earth – that our solar system was geocentric. The invention of telescopes showed up these misalignments as the planetary movements could be observed more closely – and they weren’t moving the way they should move if things really were geocentric.Epicycles1

Hanging on to the old belief felt less confusing, less mentally painful, than other possibilities. So, avoiding this pain, caused them to make things more complicated as they explained away the observed misalignments. They invented epicycles.

If the planets were going round smaller circles as they went round the bigger circle of their orbit the misalignments could be accounted for. Problem was that telescopes got better and better, which meant they needed epicycle on top of epicycle as the number of misalignments they had to explain away continued to increase. Things just kept getting more complicated.

Finally, Copernicus was able to realise the truth. The planets were heliocentric, not geocentric.

With the sun at the centre of things perception was aligned to reality and things were suddenly so much simpler. No more epicycles were needed.Epicycles

One significant advantage of simplicity is the clear focus it gives you. This level of clarity makes it easier for you to produce the results you’re after. It means that whenever you’re confused all you need to do is ask yourself – would things be simpler if that was true?

If the answer’s yes, then it probably is true. You’ll need to adapt to the new reality.

If the answer’s no, then it probably isn’t  true. You can forget about it.

There are other, simple ways to learn to discern the true. You have an inbuilt system which is actually part of your immune system. It’s not so much a way to tell the truth, but to know what things align to your personal expanded reality. You can learn how to work this part of your system through developing awareness of your Soul Seat.

3 Keys to an Aligned Path

SignpostWe all want many different things in life and, as a consequence, it seems we are so often pulled in so many different directions it is exhausting.  It seems impossible for us to have everything we want.

Yet it is possible.  The more aligned our path in life is to our true essence, to the most complete expression of who We Truly Are, the easier and more graceful our progress becomes.  There are three keys that can help us create this.  Each key is a point of focus on our path and if these three are aligned all things along our path tend to fall into place.

First key:

Our ‘to do’ list are things which we already know how to do, we just have to organise ourselves to get them done.  Usually these are things that we need to do over the next couple of months, at most.

Second key:

Our goals differ from our ‘to do’ list because they require us to learn and grow, to master some new skill or overcome some old obstacle.  That’s the point, actually, because our goals motivate us to grow.  Generally, most goals will take us two to five years to complete.

Third key:

Our dreams differ from our goals because they aren’t real to us right now.  That’s the point.  When we focus on our goals we’re generally taught that we need an ‘action plan’ for them and that we have to consider what is possible.  Dreams enable us to consider the impossible and give ourselves permission to play with the idea of what it would be like if we had a life which is currently out of our reality.  By allowing ourselves to play with these extraordinary ideas we begin to connect with them.  Without dreams we wouldn’t be able to grow beyond our current reality.  Considering what our life could be like in thirty to forty years is a good way to tap into our dreams.  That length of time is enough for our minds to be able to accept that anything is possible.

Yet oPath2ur dreams give an overall alignment to our life.  They enable us to find the best way to align our goals and our ‘to do’ list.  It is the long focus of our dreams which create the easiest and most graceful alignment of our path, and also enable us to go beyond our current reality.

Often in so much less time than thirty to forty years!  If only we give ourselves permission to dream of our happiest life.

Human and Divine

Human and Divine
It takes both sides

Healing or spiritual growth or personal development is the process of becoming whole, of realising the entirety of who We Truly Are.  This means we need to become complete with both sides of our nature; the human and the divine.

In order to become complete with our human self we need to be able to appreciate how the contrasts and limitations of our lives give our experiences a flavour and a focus we would not otherwise have. It’s a little like cooking with a limited number of ingredients; if we were to cook with everything the unique flavours would get lost. The first step in this process is completing and releasing any pain or dis-ease in our lives so we can shift our focus away from what we don’t want and begin to focus on the pleasure and sensuality which is the physical experience of joy.

This is the strength of Chiropractic. It enables us to align our bodies, our physical selves, so we are open and receptive, aware and integrative of those things that we don’t want and we easily filter out and release those things we don’t want.

Getting complete with our divine self is a process of appreciating how we are part of the creative flow, in all its power and majesty, and we each have a unique part to play in it.  Fulfilling our own part is so natural a part of our true essence it is linked to our deepest joy.  Gaining the personal clarity we need to be able to know what this is, cooperate with its unfolding and express it gracefully and powerfully on the planet is necessary here.  Paradoxically, this is a process of realising our limitations are only real for as long as we make them so.

This is the strength of Fractology. It enables us to align our consciousness and our minds, so the pure light of our divinity is focused through the lens of our minds into each moment of our lives. Through this process we begin to realise the divinity in all things, and that we, too, are truly divine.

Through the twin powers of chiropractic and Fractology we are able to work through the paradox of life, and use the focus of our physical limitations to realise the individual expression of our magnificent, true divine selves.
